The Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum is a substantial double-action revolver built around Ruger's robust Redhawk platform. This configuration features a 5.5" barrel, satin stainless-steel finish and a 6-shot cylinder, combining classic revolver styling with the strength and durability for which the Redhawk is well known.
The Redhawk uses Ruger's triple-locking cylinder, securing the cylinder at the front, rear and bottom for positive alignment. Its single-spring mechanism is designed to provide a smooth trigger system, while the transfer-bar mechanism provides an additional measure of safety against accidental discharge.
The .44 Magnum model is also dual-chambered to accept factory .44 Special cartridges, giving licensed shooters additional ammunition flexibility where permitted. The adjustable rear sight and ramp-style front sight provide a practical sighting setup.
